My First Apple Product
I’ve been a PC guy basically all of my life, and have had no major problems using them granted I did the regular maintenance and such to keep it running as good as possible. But within the past year or so, I’ve been opening my eyes up a little bit and paying a bit more attention to Apple products. It’s not that I’ve ever disliked using a Mac, but I just never had one, therefore I didn’t care too much.
I work on a Mac all day, and I love it. Everyday day goes by and I wonder why I have to leave work to go home to a PC. Anyways, I just bought my first Apple product this past weekend, in the form of an iPod nano. I was impressed with Apple before I even opened the box, because the box alone looked so damn good. I decided to not throw the box away for some weird feeling that I was wasting something good. Even the shopping bag was sweet.
Everything from the packaging design down to the actual product was just very impressive to me. Apple is the definition of good design, and it amazes me, that so little says so much when looking at their products and design. The decision for my next computer is just about made up, and I think you only need one guess as to what that might be!

Im a PC guy. Ive only ever used a Mac once at college a few years back. To be honest I never intend to look at a Mac as an option simply because I have got so much windows-compatible work that I fear simply wouldnt run on a Mac. Got a feeling I wouldnt be the only one in this situation though. After all the good press Im sure I would get a Mac if the latter wasnt a problem.
Steve I think you would be suprised if you had to use a Mac all day. The fact that Bootcamp is out and that you can run Windows on a Mac makes is all the more appealing. I don’t really have any programs that need to run PC, so I’m clear in that department. The only thing that I’m curious about is the new Vista.
I’ve always used a Mac. Our family’s first computer was a Mac Performa 2000, followed by an eMac G3. I got a iMac flatscreen G4 before my freshman year of college, and I’m still using it. It’s only given me one hiccup in all that time that needed me to reinstall software. I doubt I will ever get a PC, simply because of the program suites I use (Adobe, Macromedia), create files that are non-specific to an OS. Macs have a nice community, and there’s always quality programs out there for me to use, created by other Mac users.
I will admit: Vista has my attention.
